Sorry we missed week 2’s results but here are week 3’s base results:

Division 1 had a lot of close matches. AC vs. dRATs looked like one to watch, with AC taking WoodyMyrk(x2) 2-1, and TWL-Desiccator 2-1. dRATs were able to take TWL- Minotaur 9-2. $BMX$ beat KoA 3-0 which looked like some decently fought maps. ATF vs. TIA went 1-1-1, they tied the last map Lakefront 3-3. Ni4Ni didn’t allow a single cap on them beating uBp 3-0.

In Division 2 {RiP} faced off with [57th]. the first map was No Shelter(x2), which tied 1-1. On RainDance {RiP} took it 1-0, then on Snowblind [57th] took it 4-2. These were some very intense maps that took a lot of teamwork to cap. |osis beat }=RT={ 3-0 only allowing 2 caps! –(FS)- tied AGB 1-1-1.

Well week 3 is done and now we move on to week 4, good luck to all teams and lets see some more good matches!!

With the departure of Fruit, The Mighty Oxen were the heavy favorites to win the T2 Classic Championship this season. But anyone who thought they would have an easy time of it had another thing coming.

Wookies of War came on strong at the end of the regular season and carried that momentum into the first round of playoffs against the Oxen. Ox got a solid win on Abaddon, but the 4th-seeded WoW repaid them with a convincing win on Celerity. By the narrowest of margins, Ox took the final map and the match with a 4-3 victory on Cinereous.

Zero Hour meanwhile was facing Old GeeZers in their first round. GeeZ put up a tough fight, but ZH proved too much for them and were able to take all 3 maps.

That left the two top seeds, ZH and Ox, to face each other in the Championship. They had met early on in the regular season, and while none of the maps had been blowouts, Ox took all 3. This might have led some to speculate that perhaps Zero Hour wouldn't be able to play Ox as tough as the Wookies had in the first round. But Zero Hour had other ideas. The first map was Stonehenge, an Ox pick. The Mighty Oxen built a good lead but ZH made a strong comeback. When time ran out, the Oxen had held on for a 7-6 win. ZH took the next map, WoodyMyrk, with a 6-4 win. It was up to Damnation to settle the matter. Map 3 was a furious battle with neither team pulling away. When the dust settled, Ox had won 6-4 and taken the Championship.

Season 9 of the BEML Base Ladder kicked off to an explosive start, with week one producing fantastic sportsmanship and some very hard fought battles.

In Division 1,| TIA| defeated |KOA| 3 maps to 0, not allowing 1 cap the entire match! NI4NI and =dRATS= battled it out with a final score of 2-1 in NI4NI’s favor. Hard fought there, great job to all! AC took on the new comers, uBp for a 3-0 victory. Thought it was not easily taken. AC made an amazing cap with 5 seconds left in the match to grab the last map. Great games [uBp,] good job all around and glad to have you onboard! BMX showed they are a force to be reckoned with, Defeating ATF 2 maps to 1. Looking forward to more great games all the guys in week 2.

Division 2 pitted Apotheosis against Soup. |osis came prepared for battle and took all the maps not allowing a single cap. -=AGB=- showed they are here to stay, giving {RiP} a run for their money taking home all 3 maps as well. –(FS)- and the 57th took their match to the dreaded new map Sarcophagus. No envy there, but great games were played, and –(FS)- took the win, 3-0.

As you can see, we’re off to a great start! With week 1 wrapped up, preparations for week 2 are fully underway. Good luck to all players, and remember... HAVE FUN!!!

It's time for T2 classic team captains to vote on the maps to be included for next season. You can get the ballot in MS Word format or in rich text format. Ballots must be completed by Saturday Feb 14th in order for us to have the new map list in plenty of time for the season start on Feb 22nd.
